Unfortunately, we all experience undesirable behaviour at times, whether we exhibit it ourselves accidentally or see it in others around us. But why does this happen? What effects does it have? And how can you prevent yourself from exhibiting such behaviour?

You are welcome to join us on Wednesday 26 November at 3:15 p.m. at BBG 0.23. The workshop will last approximately two hours. Participation in the workshop is free and open to everyone! Hey! Now that the Christmas holidays are approaching, we're all getting tired of all those incredibly tedious, boring, long lectures on integrals, potentials, and variables. Sitting still for hours while the weather is bleak outside and it's already getting dark at 3 p.m. is no fun for anyone.
Luckily, the educacie is ready to transform these boring lectures into something amazing: pub lectures! Much shorter than your long lectures, not in a chilly Ruppert hall but in a cozy cafe in the city, and replace bad vending machine coffee with a delicious beer or drink! And the icing on the cake: there's no exam on this, so no more stress! You don't want to miss this, so sign up quickly!

Here we see the student in their natural habitat; in a messy student room at 11:43 PM, sitting behind their desk, cluttered with empty plates of pesto pasta and an oversized thermos of coffee, frantically battling a deadline. - Freek Vonk
Do you perhaps recognize yourself in this honest portrayal of the deadline-bombarded student? Did Professor Vonk just describe your average evening? Time to improve! Biological research has shown that the deadline warrior is a true social animal, and that's why we're going to work together on this fantastic activity! Swap your pesto pasta for delicious Christmas snacks, your messy student room for cozy vagrant and Christmas lights, and your thermos of coffee for dirt-cheap cocktails!!! Santa has already finished his to-do list, now it's your turn! Then he'll definitely bring you good grades on December 25th!
Got some complaints, this is the place!

The idea that math doesn't just have to be practical, but that you can also do math just because it is fun, is nearly 4000 years old and was first thought up by the Babylonians. In order to keep this ancient tradition of doing recreational maths alive, the Cie Infinity organises the Recreational Math Evening every month. An evening of (cookie eating and) looking at fun mathematical questions together, of the type that you also get at contests like the (international) Mathematical Olympiad, the ICMC or the IMC. Everyone is welcome and there are exercises of every level!
